FF IX Bahamut for Students to Rig

I decided to model Bahamut from Final Fantasy IX for my students in 3D Character Rigging. I figured it would be good practice for them to try rigging a creature for their second half of the quarter. I started on the base mesh this morning and did sculpting on it off and on today. Here's what I have currently. It's been a bit hard to find good references for him, so I'm making a lot of stuff up.

I have no clue what these parts are even for at the moment. I just know that the Gundam has it somewhere inside it. haha. I'll try to get more parts done today.

More Gundam Pieces!

I fixed most of the scale issues with the previous parts after modeling the extra piece. I assembled them together just like the actual model and here's what I have so far.
